SingCham Shanghai Annual General Meeting 2024

On September 7, 2024, Singapore Chamber of Commerce (SingCham) Shanghai held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Ascendas Innovation Plaza, with around 50 members in attendance. The meeting provided an in-depth review of the chamber’s progress, membership growth, and future plans, along with the announcement of the 2024-2026 Executive Committee (EXCO).

2024年9月7日，中国新加坡商会-上海在Ascendas创新广场举行了年度大会, 约有50名会员出席。会议深入回顾了商会的发展进程、会员增长情况以及未来规划，并宣布了2024-2026年的新执行委员会成员。

Mr. Lucas Loh, Chairman of SingCham Shanghai (2022-2024) highlighted the significant growth in membership, reflecting the chamber’s ongoing efforts to engage Singaporeans and friends of Singapore. As of August 31, 2024, SingCham Shanghai membership has increased by 37% compared to 2023. Looking ahead, Mr. Lucas Loh expressed optimism about welcoming more Singaporeans and friends of Singapore to join the vibrant and growing community.

中国新加坡商会-上海会长 (2022-2024) 罗臻毓先生强调了会员数量的显著增长，反映了商会持续努力吸引新加坡人和新加坡友人的加入。截至2024年8月31日，与2023年相比，中国新加坡商会-上海的会员数量增长了37%。展望未来，罗臻毓先生对欢迎更多新加坡人和新加坡友人加入这个充满活力且不断壮大的社区表示乐观。

Mr. William Chang, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General (2022-2024) of SingCham Shanghai (current Chairman of SingCham Shanghai 2024-2026), then delivered a comprehensive review of SingCham Shanghai’s business activities over the past year. He highlighted key events like the SingCham Sustainability Forum 2023 which delved into key environmental and business challenges, the Tech Tuesday AI Forum, which focused on harnessing Singapore-China-ASEAN synergies in the evolving era of Generative AI, as well as the Ministry Networking events, which offered exclusive opportunities to engage with Singaporean government officials.

随后，中国新加坡商会-上海副会长兼秘书长 (2022-2024) 曾广仁先生(现任商会2024-2026会长）对商会过去一年的商业活动进行了全面回顾。他重点介绍了如2023年新加坡商会可持续发展论坛等关键活动，该论坛深入探讨了环境和商业领域的重大挑战；及“科技星期二”人工智能论坛，该论坛聚焦于在生成式人工智能不断发展的时代中，利用新加坡-中国-东盟的协同效应；以及部委网络活动，为与会者提供了与新加坡政府官员互动的专属机会。

Mr. Henry Cheng, Vice Chairman of SingCham Shanghai(2022-2024 & 2024-2026), highlighted SingCham Shanghai’s pivotal role in fostering community spirit through its wide array of community events. He pointed to standout celebrations, such as the Chinese New Year Celebration and the 59th National Day Dinner, that brought the Singaporean community closer together. Additionally, Mr. Henry Cheng underscored SingCham Shanghai’s commitment to nurturing the next generation through offering mentoring and networking sessions with SingCham Youth.

中国新加坡商会-上海副会长钟汉杰先生(2022-2024 & 2024-2026)则强调了商会在通过举办各种社区活动来培养社区精神方面所发挥的关键作用。他提到了诸如春节庆祝活动和第59届国庆晚宴等引人注目的庆祝活动，这些活动使新加坡社群更加紧密。此外，钟汉杰先生还强调了中国新加坡商会-上海对培养下一代的重视，致力于通过为“新加坡商会青年”提供导师指导和网络交流机。

Mr. Vincent Yeong, Treasurer of SingCham Shanghai (2022-2024), explained to the members the allocation of the chamber's finances and the direction of its expenditures, giving members a better understanding of the Chamber's mode of operation which is based on the consideration of “members-first” policy. To promote the commercial interests of the business community, SingCham Shanghai will uphold the spirit of open collaboration and aim to work with various partners to host more events in the future.

中国新加坡商会-上海商会财务总监 (2022-2024) 杨国林先生向会员们解释了商会的财务情况分配和支出方向，让会员们更清楚了解商会的运转模式是以考虑会员的首要性为前提。展望未来，中国新加坡商会将秉持开放合作的精神，致力于与各界伙伴携手合作，共同策划并举办更多活动，以推动商业界的蓬勃发展。

Ms Linda Qiao (Chair, Elections Committee 2024-2026) explained the election process and announced the new EXCO. The new EXCO shared their visions for SingCham Shanghai and how they would like to contribute. ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍

选举委员会主席（2024-2026）乔丽娜女士描述了选举过程并宣布新一届的委员会成员。新委员会成员也个别分享了他们的愿景以及自己在商会的职责。
