SINGCHAM SHANGHAI ROLLS OUT SOBIZ THURSDAY 2021
SingCham Shanghai Business Group inaugurated its first SoBiz Thursday event on 14 January 2021. As the name suggests, SoBiz Thursday is really about bringing SingCham members and friends of SingCham together for social and business networking. Every SoBiz Thursday will start off with sharing by 1-2 SingCham members on common topic of interest, professional knowledge and work experience. And of course the networking will continue over dinner and/or drinks. SingCham Shanghai members come from various industry verticals and various walks of life, with vast experiences regarding operating in China. SoBiz Thursday aims to create this platform for more interaction and sharing of opportunities amongst SingCham Shanghai members, associates and friends.
The SoBiz Thursday that took place on 14 January at Orchard CRC Restaurant. The highlight of the event was the talk by Dr Koh Hau-Tek, Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Jiahui Health on the topic “COVID-19 & The New Normal, how we protect health, business and lives”. Dr Koh updated the audience on the status of vaccination in China, and provided advice to individuals and corporates on what they could do to ensure the safety of themselves, families and their company staff as we move into the second year of COVID-19 pandemic.
The talk was concluded with a buffet dinner of Singapore cuisine provided by Orchard CRC where SingCham Shanghai members and friends had the opportunity to network, get to know each other, interact and share experiences and work-related opportunities. The event has hopefully bonded SingCham members, fostered friendships and paved the way for more partnerships in the future.
We would like to thank all SingCham Shanghai members and friends of SingCham for supporting this event. Look forward to seeing more members join us at the next SoBiz Thursday!
